The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is an independent federal agency in the United States dedicated to supporting research, education, and public programs in the humanities. Established in 1965, NEH fosters scholarly activities that enhance our understanding of history, literature, philosophy, and culture, providing grants and funding to individuals and organizations to promote access to and engagement with the humanities across the nation.
