AID stands for U S Agency For International Development
AID, or the U.S. Agency for International Development, is a federal agency responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance. Established in 1961, AID aims to promote sustainable economic growth, improve global health, foster democratic governance, and provide humanitarian assistance in response to crises. Through partnerships with various organizations, governments, and communities, AID works to enhance the quality of life for individuals in developing countries and to further U.S. foreign policy interests.
