What Does ARPANET Stand For?
ARPANET stands for Advanced Research Projects Agency Network
ARPANET, or Advanced Research Projects Agency Network, was a pioneering packet-switching network developed in the late 1960s by the United States Department of Defense’s Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA). It was the first network to implement the protocols that became the basis for modern Internet technology.
