What Does CGA Stand For?
CGA stands for Chromogranin A
CGA, or Chromogranin A, is a protein found in neuroendocrine cells and is commonly used as a biomarker in clinical diagnostics. Elevated levels of CGA can indicate the presence of neuroendocrine tumors, including carcinoid tumors and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. Its measurement in blood samples aids in the diagnosis, monitoring, and evaluation of treatment efficacy for these conditions.
