What Does GC Stand For?
GC stands for Gonorrhea
GC, or Gonorrhea, is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It primarily affects the mucous membranes of the reproductive tract, but can also infect the throat and rectum. Symptoms may include painful urination, discharge, and in some cases, no symptoms at all. Early diagnosis and treatment with antibiotics are essential to prevent complications and the spread of the infection. Regular testing is recommended for sexually active individuals, particularly those with multiple partners.
