What Does IDC Stand For?
IDC stands for Instructor Development Course PADI
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) offered by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is an intensive training program designed to equip dive professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective scuba diving instructors. The course covers a variety of topics, including teaching techniques, diving theory, risk management, and ethics, ensuring that candidates are prepared to train and evaluate new divers safely and competently. Successful completion of the IDC paves the way for candidates to take the PADI Instructor Examination, furthering their diving careers and enhancing their ability to facilitate engaging and responsible scuba diving education.
