What Does IHH Stand For?
IHH stands for Idiopathic Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism
IHH, or Idiopathic Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism, is a condition characterized by the insufficient production of gonadotropins due to unknown causes, leading to inadequate stimulation of the gonads (testes in males and ovaries in females). This hormonal deficiency results in reduced sexual development, infertility, and other associated health issues. Diagnosis typically involves hormonal assessment and imaging studies, while management may include hormone replacement therapy to restore normal endocrine function.
