The National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics (NACA) was a U.S. government organization established in 1915 to promote and advance aeronautical research and technology. Focused on the development of aviation, NACA conducted crucial research on aerodynamics, aircraft design, and flight safety, contributing significantly to the advancement of aircraft performance and safety standards. In 1958, NACA was dissolved and its functions were transferred to the newly created National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
