OERI stands for Office Of Educational Research And Improvement Replaced By IES
OERI, or the Office of Educational Research and Improvement, was a U.S. government agency dedicated to supporting educational research and enhancing the quality of education. It was established to provide federal leadership in improving education through research funding, policy support, and program development. In 2002, OERI was replaced by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), which continues the mission of promoting research and providing data-driven insights to inform educational practices and policies.
