The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is a component of the United States executive branch that formulates and coordinates the nation's drug policy. Established in 1988, ONDCP's mission is to reduce illicit drug use and its consequences by developing comprehensive strategies, promoting evidence-based prevention and treatment programs, and fostering collaboration among federal, state, local, and tribal authorities. It also oversees the implementation of the National Drug Control Strategy and monitors progress in achieving drug-related goals across the country.
