What Does PFT Stand For?
PFT stands for Pulmonary Function Test
PFT, or Pulmonary Function Test, is a group of non-invasive diagnostic procedures used to measure lung function and capacity. It assesses how well the lungs are working by evaluating airflow, lung volume, and gas exchange. PFTs are commonly used to diagnose respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other pulmonary disorders, as well as to monitor the effectiveness of treatment and track disease progression.
