The Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) was the state agency responsible for the management and protection of Texas' natural resources, including air, water, and land. Established to oversee environmental regulations and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, TNRCC played a crucial role in promoting sustainable practices and protecting public health. In 2004, it was succeeded by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
