What Does TSCA Stand For?
TSCA stands for Toxic Substances Control Act
The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) is a United States federal law enacted in 1976 that grants the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the authority to regulate the introduction of new or existing chemical substances. The primary goal of TSCA is to ensure that chemicals do not pose an unreasonable risk to human health or the environment. Under TSCA, the EPA can require reporting, record-keeping, and testing for chemical substances, as well as evaluate and restrict the use of hazardous substances when necessary.
