What Does VA Stand For?
VA stands for Maneuvering Speed
VA, or Maneuvering Speed, is the maximum speed at which an aircraft can be safely maneuvered. At this speed, the aircraft can withstand turbulent conditions without exceeding structural limits, allowing pilots to take maximum control of the aircraft while protecting it from damage in the event of sudden aerodynamic loads. VA is particularly important for ensuring safety during maneuvers and is typically lower than the maximum speed of the aircraft.
