WOCE stands for World Ocean Circulation Or Climate Experiment
WOCE, or World Ocean Circulation and Climate Experiment, was an international research initiative aimed at understanding the physical processes governing the ocean's circulation and its role in climate variability. Launched in the late 1980s, WOCE involved extensive oceanographic measurements and modeling efforts to study the interactions between the ocean and atmosphere, as well as the impact of ocean currents on global climate patterns.
